Zack Zucker, AMFT Email Zack

Zack works closely with his clients as a way to help them see their correct path for them in the journey towards living their most authentic and purposeful life. Balancing his training as well as his observational skills, tenacity, and humor to help the people he works for to push forward, Zack’s goal is to help his client’s develop and use the skills necessary work through the challenges that come their way.

Whether working in the business world or in a high school setting, Zack recognizes his passion for helping others maneuver life transitions and deal with their own mental wellness needs. Zack’s interests are working with teens and adults of all ages who are struggling with their own life transitions or mental health hurdles. Zack also has passion for working with couples and families who are struggling to work together to create their own harmony.

Zack earned his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from University of San Francisco after 15 years of working in the software industry. Zack decided to follow his passion for helping others while on the job and recognizing his strengths and true desires were more beneficial elsewhere. Working in the Bay Area’s tech industry for the the length of time he did gives him a unique ability to understand the stressors, challenges, and opportunities that are part of this type of work.

As a therapist, Zack is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based and uses a Strength’s Based and Humanistic approach, while finding himself rooted in Existentialist theory. Zack uses these clinical modalities to support his clients in addressing with depression, anxiety, stressors, and challenging family dynamics. Zack is also former collegiate swimmer with a long background in athletics and loves helping athletes and their mindsets as well.

Outside of work, Zack enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, going on adventures in the Bay Area, traveling, and being outdoors.

Pat Hayden, AMFT Email Pat

Patrick Hayden is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in San Francisco. Patrick takes a kind and careful approach with his clients with a focus on building relationships and a supportive space for growth to take place. Patrick’s professional, yet laid back approach allows clients the opportunity to get to know and connect with their therapist. With a professional background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and an interest in Psychodynamic Therapy, Patrick blends both the current empirically supported treatments and age-old practices in psychotherapy. Whether looking for a flexible space to grow or a structured environment, Patrick’s approach to therapy allows clients to choose their own path for success. Patrick works closely with his clients and creates care plans that are unique to each person’s needs.

Patrick began volunteering with elder citizens in 2016 providing crisis intervention and emotional support after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Francisco. While working on a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Francisco State University, Patrick had the opportunity to work with college students at both the university and community college level. Since graduation, Patrick has continued to work with children, adolescents, and adults using both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) frameworks.

Outside of private practice, Patrick works as a Clinical Case Manager for San Francisco State University. Patrick understands how to help clients on the personal, community, and systemic levels. With a vast knowledge of the behavioral healthcare system, Patrick can efficiently conduct both clinical sessions and provide clients the necessary knowledge to navigate the current psychological healthcare climate.

Patrick believes that everyone can benefit from the power of therapy and emotional support. His open and compassionate approach to working with clients has allowed him to effectively build rapport and connect with individuals from all backgrounds.

Outside of work, Patrick has been a dedicated skateboarder for most of his life. In San Francisco, Patrick has contributed to the City by the Bay by building skateparks, friendships, and connections with youth that will last a lifetime.
